WILL THE BANK OWN MY HOME?

WILL IT NEGATIVELY IMPACT MY SSI OR MEDICARE?

No.  You will always retain ownership.  The lender simply places a lien, just like any traditional mortgage.

No.  Reverse Mortgage proceeds do not impact Medicare or Social Security Benefits because they are considered loan proceeds, not income.

DO I HAVE TO MAKE MONTHLY PAYMENTS?

WILL MY HEIRS BE STUCK WITH DEBT?

No.  There are not any monthly required payments.  You can choose to make payments, but you are not obligated.  

No.  Reverse Mortgages are non-recourse loans.  Your heirs will never owe more than the homes value.

CAN I BE FORCED OUT OF MY HOME?

DO I NEED "GOOD" CREDIT TO QUALIFY?

No.  As long as you live in the home, pay taxes and insurance, and maintain the property, you remain in control.

No.  There is no minimum credit score required.  Lenders review your last 24 months of payment history to assess your ability to manage debt.
